As we prepare for Aries Season, the melting of Winter and an awakening from a post pandemic chapter, Spring Equinox begins her rise on the horizon, out of hibernation and we move.

Our bodies are designed to move, whether from point a to point b, a group fitness class, competing for gold, building a house, walking along the beach or morning dance party (my preference). Moving our bodies will eliminate unwanted toxins, stressors and cells that are no longer serving. Alternatively, new fresh oxygenated blood will circulate within your body, invigorating all cells in optimal function and supporting overall health.
Stretching, walking, dancing and jumping can move energies that may be stagnant and residually held from the past two years. In movement, from a biological perspective you release feel good endorphins and dopamine. From a mental health perspective, movement, sweat and exercise have been proven to provide greater mental clarity and focus, as well as support positive self esteem. From a spirit standpoint, I have always experienced a greater sense of happiness and peace from a great workout.
This year, un negotiably prioritize your movement by placing it in your calendar in advance so it becomes a daily commitment to yourself. What's amazing about movement is how responsive our bodies and mind are, from greater flexibility after stretching, to the feel good joy that comes after a sweaty class or the lessening of limiting, negative thoughts after a long walk, it's positive all around.
The LovEd Wellness 2022 self care list has been consciously curated from having been a past professional dancer and fitness instructor for over 20 years. I have learned the outside is a direct reflection of the inside and have personally discovered for myself, that the more I am connected to my physical body the better I show up for myself and everyone in my life. Movement is truly is the greatest, free gift I can give myself. After every fitness class I taught I would end with the powerful words of my Grandma, which were, 'your health is your wealth' and after these past few years, that has never resonated more.
Let's have a powerful and positive year by incorporating consistent movement in our lives. Perhaps invite a friend right now for a walk or workout and inspire a culture of movement around you.
Take a deep breath and let's get it!
