Self Care: You Time, Take It - It's your's

"I am the love of, the love of my life" Jennifer Lopez in Love of my Life (Marry Me)

Setting healthy boundaries allows you to prioritize 'you' time. Own it and lean in. You are your greatest gift and you are your own company. So hopefully you like spending time with yourself...do you? Not alone doing a to do list, activity or lost in social media but simply practicing 'dolce far niente' (Italian for: pleasant relaxation in carefree idleness or the joy of doing nothing).

Personally discovering the exquisite joy of personal time, becomes so precious when you are fully present to the understanding that your time in this present form, is finite. Your ability to feel, express, laugh, move, sing, dance, cry and breathe is infinitely finite.

LovEd Wellness's has compiled self care tips for 2022 and has prioritized taking time for yourself as number one on the list of ten. When you spend time with yourself you naturally become aware of what you are feeling, thinking and check in with yourself. It's so powerful to be with you. Remind yourself why you are wonderful. Why you love you. What makes you happy about yourself, where you are, where you live and the life you have created. Don't simply be a witness or passenger, be the leading lady of your life as Kate Winslet's character says in The Holiday. Lean in and own you: your skin, hair, legs, breasts, your favourite personality trait, the little nuances that make you, your quirks, your laugh, your emotions, feelings and in joy yourself.

Make a commitment to love yourself most. Take care of yourself most this year, imagine that. It will benefit you and transform your life positively. You may find, that once you get a pleasant taste of the joy of being with yourself, you will protect it. Being with and knowing yourself is worth protecting and diving wildly into.

Stay tuned for another of our 2022 self care tips coming soon.

In optimal wellness,

Jennifer Knight
